Reflection
I began Career Day driving the hour long drive to San Diego to get to the Radio Station. From there my classmates and I entered the building and was given a tour around the place by a Dallas Kristian, meeting other interns and going behind the scenes of the everyday radio program. We then met up with Chris Martinez the man that agreed to having us shadow him, he answered some questions we had for him and explained the logistics of his job and how he got it. We then met with the hosts of Frank and Geena in the morning who told us about their jobs and how they got interested in this career path, while we told them about High Tech High and the school system. We then met with the assistant producer of the radio station who was able to get all three of us tickets to Aquatica. We then continued to follow Dallas around while he explained his job to us, and we were able to get free Starbucks from a Starbucks van. We shadowed them for the rest of the day, watching them work and learning more about the entertainment industry from them. I think that this Career Day was very beneficial for me and has helped me to see that even though careers in this industry is very competitive, it's spontaneous and unique and a career I see myself in when I'm older.
